Here There Be Tears

  1. Oh I have a dog story too. Just after my Hex decided he wanted a divorce I rented an apartment about 2 miles from the house (thinking at the time it would be good to be close so the kids…oh well never mind that part. I thought the family dog would stay with the house especially because my Hex used to get down on the floor and slobber all over the dog and generally show him all the affection he didn’t bother to give to me.

I got an email from the Hex addressed to me and the kids saying that because I had rented an apartment that wouldn’t take dogs, Tiger would have to go to the pound because he might be taking ‘secret’ jobs or relocating to Australia and couldn’t keep the dog. And this was all because your mother didn’t care! The kids were devastated and I was purple with rage because it had never been discussed. Of course I took Tiger (who ultimately saved my life and has been the biggest blessing for me) and he was foiled again in trying to make me look like a monster.

Three years later and Tiger and I are best buds and he and I are thriving.

  3. I too love old maps, watched a great documentary series on maps a couple of years ago! Fascinating 🙂

What a touching story of healing and survival. I’m so glad both you and Glottis are doing well now 🙂

  4. Breaks my heart to hear stories of callous people giving up pets like they were possessions. Awful. Glad to were able to meet again and heal.

It was wonderful having you visit! Gabby really enjoyed it. She cruises through the guest room at least once a day to see if you’re there. You are still well loved.
