Prior to divorce, one of your predominate life roles is that of “husband” or “wife.” And once that position is pulled from you, it leaves a job opening that is often filled with a self-appointed role that ultimately causes more harm than good.   1. I quit a long time ago. It’s hard not to get pulled back in when there are children involved, but I’m not his maid, calendar, or secretary. And I continue to remind him of that.
