    We do all have a choice. There is a lot of pressure to do the wrong thing and it takes a lot of effort and mental strength to create a positive path for yourself especially when you have a background of abuse.

  3. I wonder if it just has to do with someone’s personality. I had some serious trauma and dealt with it in a way I thought I had to without thinking it was a choice. I just did it. I don’t know, if at those moments, we feel like there’s a ‘choice’… feels more like ‘have to do’s’. Whatever we instinctively gravitate to. But I do agree that at some point, it does become a choice to continue that path or change it up for the better. I was lucky to be able to continue to make changes. I hope others can see that they don’t have to stick to one plan but that choice is still an option. Thanks for sharing!
