Progress

I am now exactly one week away from the start of the school year. Last year at this point, I wasn’t doing very well. In fact, I was throwing a bit of a temper tantrum, singing the back to school blues.

And, I’m happy to report that I’m handling this much better this year. No crying. No pouting. And (dare I admit it?) even a little excitement to begin a new year.

Although, I am instituting a ban on all school-related work or thoughts for the next 7 days:)

Here’s to progress! Big and small:)

Thank you for sharing!

  1. Aurelia – My name is Aurelia (pronounced Ah-real-lee-ya) and I am a 40-something year old woman on a voyage to stay true to who I am. I’ve spent so many years being the person others wanted me to be and I slowly lost touch with myself. I’ve been through many ups and downs in life and in January of 2013, I began the process of filing for divorce after 17 years of marriage and literally started to rebuild my life from the ground up.

Here’s to a successful school year!!! I am happy to hear you are in a better place now than you were last year 🙂

  2. I’m glad you’re excited. 😀 It’s amazing though living in the same country that our kids don’t go back until after Labor Day.

      1. I know sometimes parents have to move at a certain time but it is so tough when kids are weeks behind when they transfer in. Good luck.

  3. Enjoy your last week until another school year kicks off, and may this year be one of great lessons learned for you and your students!

  4. The Woman Invisible – United States – This is my journey. I am seeking a life full of passion, honesty, adventure and happiness. I know one thing that is terribly missing in my life, and that is to truly feel valued as a woman. I am attempting to find my way, maybe not in methods you would agree with, but somehow, I want to feel like the woman I know I was meant to be. Along the way, you may realize you don't like me much, or my morals. But, then, maybe you do. I'm just here to share my journey. Come along for the ride.

Does your school have air conditioning? Our kids would die in the NE heat and humidity.

That’s good because most of our schools don’t and they shut down in June when it gets over 100 degrees here. Crazy. Amazing it’s the same country sometimes!

  5. Progress in little steps is what I’m learning it takes to keep moving forward. Hope you have a good 7 days before the start of the school year. Life is good!!!
