Lessons From the End of a Marriage

A “How to Thrive” Guide After Divorce

Sharing is caring!

I am now exactly one week away from the start of the school year. Last year at this point, I wasn’t doing very well. In fact, I was throwing a bit of a temper tantrum, singing the back to school blues.

And, I’m happy to report that I’m handling this much better this year. No crying. No pouting. And (dare I admit it?) even a little excitement to begin a new year.

Although, I am instituting a ban on all school-related work or thoughts for the next 7 days:)

Here’s to progress! Big and small:)

  1. I’m glad you’re excited. πŸ˜€ It’s amazing though living in the same country that our kids don’t go back until after Labor Day.

      1. I know sometimes parents have to move at a certain time but it is so tough when kids are weeks behind when they transfer in. Good luck.

  2. Good luck! It seems so early though! Our school don’t go back til after Labor Day.

      1. Does your school have air conditioning? Our kids would die in the NE heat and humidity.

          1. That’s good because most of our schools don’t and they shut down in June when it gets over 100 degrees here. Crazy. Amazing it’s the same country sometimes!

  3. Progress in little steps is what I’m learning it takes to keep moving forward. Hope you have a good 7 days before the start of the school year. Life is good!!!
