My Divorce “Care Package”

I found this post interesting in that I am going thru a sim process. My marriage ended not with divorce but with my wife’s death and being that for years leading up to her death she had been setting up herself to divorce me but not in an decent way. I am currently in the purge everything possible except very select photos and a few other things but everything else is on its way somewhere else. Death and divorce are a long ways apart but they also share some finalities and ridding memories is sometimes part of the process.

    • Understand. I think carefully selecting memories and reminders is an important part of the process. Best to you.

I would be very interested in why you feel this way, because for me, I’m not sure they are different. May God bless you in spite of all the hurt you’re still processing. A Grace Disguised by Jerry Sittser–I highly recommend.

Such a cool post! I never thought of the blanket, sports, or going to the same restaurants. Very cool ideas, thank you for sharing! 🙂

Great post! Running, music, good friends, my counsellor, and lots of self-help books…and hugs with my kiddos. Lots of those. Kudos to you on tough mudder…it’s on my bucket list too 🙂

  5. Great care package you’ve shared! Thinking back my care package included; reclaiming some of my favorite restaurants (more casual-he liked expensive, fancy), favorite old friends, pink sheets, my own favorite music, wine, chocolate, running. Now i’m addicted to Yoga and love the therapeutic qualities 🙂
